Individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, or other qualifying mental health conditions may benefit from an Emotional Support Animal evaluation. During your appointment, a licensed mental health professional will assess your symptoms, history, and current functioning to determine whether an ESA recommendation may be clinically appropriate.

No. An ESA letter is never guaranteed. Recommendations are made only when, after a comprehensive clinical evaluation, it is determined that an Emotional Support Animal is clinically appropriate based on your individual mental health needs and professional standards of care.

Most Emotional Support Animal evaluations are completed in one comprehensive telehealth appointment.

No. Emotional Support Animal evaluations are not billed to insurance and are provided as a self-pay service. These evaluations are generally not covered by health insurance because they are considered an evaluative service rather than medically necessary psychotherapy. An Emotional Support Animal provides comfort and emotional support as part of a mental health treatment plan but is not individually trained to perform specific tasks.
