immigration Evaluations In Mechanicsville, VA and/or Telehealth in VA:

 Immigration evaluations are provided in English and Spanish for individuals that reside and/or are located in the state of Virginia at the time of the evaluation. 

Types of Evaluations offered at road to ready counseling:

  • Victims of Criminal Activity (U-VISA)
  • Victims of Human Trafficking (T-VISA)
  • Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Evaluations
  • Extreme Hardship Waiver (I-601 and I-601A)

Topics Discussed during evaluations:

  • Past and/or present trauma
  • Mental health symptoms, including frequency, duration, and severity.
  • Medical and mental health history
  • Your Current situation
  • Positive support systems in the U.S.
  • Review of psychological, medical, educational, and other supporting documents as appropriate.
  • Future Plans
  • Outcome of deportation, including but not limited to, mental health, social, economic, medical, and overall level of functioning. 
  • Linkage and referrals to services as appropriate. 

Process and Timeline:

Initial prescreening
Two appointments:
Day 1: Clinical Interview facilitated in English and/or Spanish.
Day 2: Psychometric tests administered in English and/or Spanish.
Consultation with lawyer


Documents to bring to the first appointment:

  • Valid photo ID
  • List of medications and dosage
  • Medical records
  • Educational records of your children
  • past or current psychotherapy records.
  • any supporting documents, including but not limited to, affidavits, law enforcement records, etc.
     

COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL PSYCHOSOCIAL REPORT:
The formal clinical psychosocial report will be provided to client and lawyer two weeks after the client’s second appointment. 

EVALUATION AND REPORT COST:

 Evaluation and Report Fee: $1,000 paid in full prior to the appointment for the evaluation and report. Payment methods accepted for immigration evaluation and reports includes cash and credit cards paid in full prior to your appointment. 


Expedited Report Fee: *If an evaluation and report is due in less than 2 weeks, an expedited $500 additional fee will be incurred by the client. 


Court Cost: If the evaluator is required to attend court in-person or virtually, the client will incur additional fees for preparation time, court appearance, depositions, time required to give testimony, time away from office due to testimony and depositions, filing documents with the court, phone calls, legal fees, and mileage.
